PERSPEX® Clear Sheet

Perspex® Clear cast acrylic has an exceptional light transmission in excess of 92% of visible light. It is superior to all other thermoplastic sheets and higher than that of glass with virtually no colour bias. Even after 10 years of outdoor exposure, Perspex® Clear will continue to transmit 85% of visible light while other thermoplastic sheets will show a much greater reduction over the same period.

Known as one of the most creative, versatile and colourful materials in the market, the application possibilities are endless. Cast acrylic sheets are suitable for glazing, furniture and display cases to name a few applications.

Clarity

PERSPEX® Clear cast acrylic sheet has a higher light transmission than glass. Perspex® Acrylic can be repolished to regain clarity over time.

Weather Resistant

Acrylic sheets have an excellent resistance to UV rays and most PERSPEX® Acrylic ranges have a 10-year external warranty, meaning the material will not discolour or degrade over time. 

Lightweight

A 2mm thick Acrylic sheet weighs 2.4kg per m2, whereas a 2mm thick sheet of glass weighs 5kg per m2. However, glass of the same thickness as acrylic doesn’t have the same strength so to achieve the same strength, glass would be a much heavier alternative.
